The specificity and definition of blood eosinophil

We read with great interest the article titled "Blood eosinophil count thresholds and exacerbations in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease" by Yun et al.1 This article confirmed that eosinophil count in circulation of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) was a predictive factor for exacerbations of COPD. Moreover, they tried to induce a novel type of COPD, eosinophilic COPD. However, there are some points that need to be clarified.
