Innate immune crosstalk in asthmatic airways: innate lymphoid cells coordinate the polarization of lung macrophage

Increased numbers of all types of ILCs, including ILC2s, were observed in induced sputum of asthma patients when compared with healthy controls. ILCs affect the polarization of macrophages and contribute to the development of different phenotypes of asthma.
