Trans-oral marsupialisation of a large dermoid cyst

True dermoid cysts are rare congenital entities having predilection for periorbital, floor of mouth and submental areas in the head and neck region. They are usually asymptomatic unless they significantly enlarge causing pain, difficulty in swallowing, breathing, speech or vision, depending upon their location. Conventionally, complete excision is treatment of choice. The authors demonstrate a trans-oral approach to marsupialise a large dermoid cyst with a successful outcome and minimal complications.
