Delayed Pharyngeal Migration of a Mandibular Fixation Screw 30 Years After Orthognathic Surgery

Orthognathic surgery is a commonly performed operation used for correction of dentofacial abnormalities [1]. The operation involves osteotomies and realignment of the maxilla and/or mandible. Common procedures during orthognathic surgery include a LeFort 1 osteotomy, bilateral sagittal split osteotomies (BSSO), and not infrequently a genioplasty.
