Has there been a recession in facial trauma too? A review of acute operating in the Mersey Regional Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) Unit

Introduction: The Mersey Regional OMFS Unit serves a population of 2 million. All acute and semi-elective operating is concentrated in the regional unit. Increasing activity led to the allocation of dedicated theatres and clinics in 2010 but recently these seem to have been less busy.
