Perioperative Free Fibula Flap donor site morbidity

Background: Since its development the Fibula FreeFlap (FFF) is adependable workhorse of head and neck reconstruction, offering good lengths of bone and soft tissue cover. Many Patients who have FFF's experience complications in the path to recovery, with studies demonstrating that up to a third of patients having perioperative donor-site complications [Momoh AO et al., 2011].
