Abstract
Topical corticosteroids are commonly used for Oral Lichen Planus (OLP) but may induce candidiasis and mucosal atrophy (Bombeccari, Gianni, & Spadari., 2017). Oral corticosteroids can cause adverse systemic effects such as immune suppression, sleep disturbances and bone demineralization (Thongprasom, 2018). Turmeric extracts suppress inflammation in vitro and in animals and may be an alternative (Nagpal & Sood, 2013).
