Recent research has suggested that wireless monitors (electrocardiography, pulse oximetry, blood pressure reading, and capnography) will be the future of perioperative monitoring.1-4 Going wireless has the potential to dramatically improve the way the oral and maxillofacial surgeon (OMS) delivers anesthesia by increasing efficiency and allowing for a safer environment.
