Abstract
Salivary gland tumors represent a group of heterogeneous lesions with distinct biological behavior and complex clinicopathological characteristics. In 70% of the cases the parotid gland is affected and in about 80% the tumor is benign.1
In general, an accurate diagnosis of parotid tumors consists of a triple assessment, comprising clinical examination, imaging and histological or cytological analysis.
