Qualitative study to identify issues affecting quality of life in adults with craniofacial anomalies

Our objective was to identify key issues that affect the quality of life (QoL) of adult patients with craniofacial anomalies. This was a qualitative prospective study using in-depth, semi-structured interviews. Ten patients who fulfilled the inclusion criteria were recruited during their attendance at the Adult Craniofacial Clinic at the Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Interviews ceased when no new themes arose. A framework method of analysis was used to identify themes that related to QoL. (Source: The British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery)
