Dermatitis and occupational (meth) acrylate contact allergy in nail technicians ‐ a 10 year study

Acrylates and methacrylates, in this report from here on called (meth)acrylates, are present in various coatings, plastics, dental prosthesis, glass substitutes, and acrylic nails. (Meth)acrylic polymers are obtained by polymerization of monomeric derivatives of (meth)acrylic acids, esters being the most important source. Polymerization into acrylic plastics can occur in either room temperature, with heat, or via UV‐radiation or visible light
