Introduction: Parotid tumours comprise of 80% of salivary gland tumours. Deep lobe parotid (DLP) tumours comprise 10–12% of parotid tumours with only 1% extending into the parapharyngeal space. Of these, 90% present with a long standing painless swelling in the pre-auricular region, the other 10% have palatal swelling due to extension through the stylomandibular tunnel. DLP tumours present a management challenge due to their location. Various accesses have been described to facilitate their safe removal.
