The aesthetics industry is booming, with the increased social acceptance of having non-surgical treatments undertaken and the more affordable costs in doing so. In all branches of medicine, clinicians are being pursued to attend courses to allow them to be part of this sub-specialist area injecting neurotoxins and other materials on a non-permanent basis. Whilst, a form of regulation is being promoted via the RCS England aesthetics accreditation scheme, this remains a poorly governed area of practice, and those providing the training are also currently unregulated.
