Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Is it an attractive career option for current Foundation Year Doctors?

The surgical 'Head and Neck' specialties are commonly identified as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Ear Nose and Throat and Plastic Surgery. Of those, OMFS is the only specialty requiring dual qualification. Recent research indicates here is a growing uncertainty amongst foundation doctors regarding their career options and hesitations about continuing on to further core or specialty training.
