Papillary changes of the palpebral conjunctiva, often described as papillae, lid roughness, or giant papillary conjunctivitis (GPC), are morphological changes in the tissue which can occur in the upper and/or lower eyelid [1,2]. Though the aetiology is still unclear, papillary changes have been associated with ocular allergy and with contact lens wear [3]. The latter is often also referred to as contact lens induced papillary conjunctivitis (CLPC) [3], which can be either localized or general [3]. (Source: Contact Lens and Anterior Eye)
