Laparoscopic Surgery Within an Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) Protocol Reduced Postoperative Ileus by Increasing Postoperative Treg Levels in Patients with Right-Side Colon Carcinoma.

CONCLUSIONS In patients with a carcinoma in the right colon, laparoscopic surgery within an ERAS protocol leads to better immunity preservation after surgery, and POD1 Treg value may be an independent predicator for postoperative ileus, which could, at least in part, explain the shorter hospital stay after surgery.
