DRESS/DIHS caused by levofloxacin in a patient with systemic scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, and Sjogren syndrome

Drug‐induced hypersensitivity syndrome (DIHS) or drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) is a rare, severe skin disease with manifestations such as fever, eosinophilia, lymphadenopathy and internal organ damage that typically develops 2 to 6 weeks after drug intake. DRESS/DIHS follows a prolonged course involving frequent flare‐ups and relapses over weeks or months after treatment discontinuation.
