Approximately 10% of the world 's asthma sufferers live in India, and asthma is widely underdiagnosed in this country. Within a growing digital health market in India, smartphone and internet-based apps can help with asthma self-management. Few studies have reported smartphone and internet access among asthma sufferers in India , and there is a lack of data regarding patient attitudes towards patient-facing asthma self-management apps.
