Infants with cow 's milk allergy (CMA) seem to have an increased risk to develop other allergic diseases like asthma later in life. Most children develop tolerance before the fourth year of life. However the pathomechanism behind the natural acquisition of tolerance is not precisely understood, it has been found t hat a significant role in this process is played by the Treg lymphocytes and dietetic factors.
